The item Swivel Castor D160 PU 140x110 has a connecting plate that measures 140x110 mm and a robust metal housing made of bright zinc-plated steel. The operational load-carrying capacity is speed-dependent and reaches up to 550 kg per castor.
The damping action and abrasion resistance of the polyurethane tyres compensates for slight unevenness in floor surfaces in indoor environments. The castor is intended for speeds of up to 16 km/h.
Thanks to the integrated mounting plate, this castor with a 160 mm wheel diameter can be easily attached to base frames made of Line 8 profiles. Stable ball bearings and wheel bodies made of aluminium ensure a long service life.
The effective load-carrying capacity and dissipative capacity of a castor depend on its conditions of use. Product characteristics are stated in relation to use at the stated speed on a smooth, level indoor surface.

Note: Factor in sufficient load-carrying capacity when selecting castors. For safety reasons, ensure that the total load can be carried on three castors.
Note:
Operating conditions such as speed, load, soiling, overall mileage, etc. can have a detrimental effect on dissipation resistance. To ensure mobile solutions are electrostatically dissipative, it is advisable to take additional precautions such as fitting an ESD Drag Chain (0.0.671.88).
To verify the relevant properties, regular checks in line with the IEC 61340 standard should be carried out throughout the service life of the solution.
In the case of higher speeds (>4 km/h), it is important to take into account the higher dynamic load and evaluate the overall construction accordingly.
The Castors for high speeds! The D160 PU 140x110 series of Castors from item (Castor diameter: 160 mm) is suitable for transport tasks that need to be fast. Tugger trains benefit from the damping action and abrasion resistance of the polyurethane tyres, with slight unevenness in floor surfaces accommodated internally.
The PU Castor range is intended for speeds of up to 16 km/h and includes Swivel Castors, Swivel Castors with double brake and Fixed Castors. The maximum load-carrying capacity of the Castors is around 550 kg. The operational load-carrying capacity is speed-dependent and has been tested to DIN EN 12532 and DIN EN 12533.
Thanks to the wide connecting plate with four holes, the Castors can be fastened directly to the grooves of the support frame. Fastening Set 8 for Castor swivel/fixed 140x110 (0.0.670.18) is used to install the Castors. For reliable straight running, Castors D160 PU swivel 140x110 can also be temporarily converted into Fixed Castors using an additional Swivel Lock (0.0.670.48).
Swivel castors from item are also available in ESD-safe versions, with foot protection, and with double brakes (the brake simultaneously locks both swivel and wheel movement).
Note: For technical reasons, ESD-safe castors retain their full conductivity only when loaded up to 65 percent of their rated load-carrying capacity. Overloading may result in permanent damage.
Castors with a connecting plate 140x110 are mounted on a load-bearing frame with grooves 8 using the Fastening Set 8 for Castor swivel/fixed 140x110 (0.0.670.18).
Swivel castors without double brakes can be temporarily converted into a fixed castor using the optional fixed-direction swivel lock (0.0.670.19 / 0.0.670.48).
