Special features:
item products are based on different modular dimensions and their associated system grooves. Profiles from Lines 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 each need corresponding sizes of fasteners. The profiles in Line X feature a Line 8 system groove but have a particularly flat surface with minimum curve radii that make them ideal for building sealed constructions.

Details

Profile 8 80x80 is a universal construction profile made of high-quality anodized aluminium in the modular dimension of Line 8.
This robust aluminium profile in the standard design variant from item features eight open Line 8 profile grooves.

The profiles in Line 8 are available in standard, light and economy (E) design variants. Due to additional cavities, a Profile 8 80x80 light weighs around 26 percent less than a Profile 8 80x80 in the same length. A Profile 8 80x80 E weighs approximately 44 percent less. Please note the additional screw channel in the central cavity of Profile 8 80x80 E.
The area moments of inertia against profile deflection and the maximum groove load-bearing capacity of the selected profile must be given due consideration in respect of the loads involved.

The cavity in Profile 8 80x80 can be used as a compressed air conduit, as a concealed channel for a timing belt or cables, or as a space to install Ball-Bearing Guide Bush Unit 8 D25 (0.0.387.12).
When working with shafts or spindles that have a larger diameter, Profile 8 80x80 D40 (0.0.408.28) and Profile 8 80x80-45° D60 (0.0.463.24), which have a rounded cavity, can be useful.
