Special features:
item products are based on different modular dimensions and their associated system grooves. Profiles from Lines 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 each need corresponding sizes of fasteners. The profiles in Line X feature a Line 8 system groove but have a particularly flat surface with minimum curve radii that make them ideal for building sealed constructions.

Multiblock 8 Zn ESD is used as an ESD-safe means of fastening panel elements to profile grooves, especially when heavy loads need to be carried. The Multiblock, which is adjustable in millimetre increments, ensures panels of different thicknesses can be fitted flush.
The Multiblock incorporates either a through bore or a square nut that is secured against falling out by a leaf spring.
To ensure electrostatic dissipation, ESD-safe panel elements must always be fastened to Multiblock 8 Zn ESD using a screw that rests on the surface. Countersunk screws are not suitable.
Important: For constructions in electrostatic protected areas, resistance measurements must always be carried out and documented to provide proof of ESD safety. item offers this as a service for turnkey solutions.
To fasten a panel element from above using an M8 screw, an M8 thread must be tapped into the core bore of the Multiblock.
