Special features:
item products are based on different modular dimensions and their associated system grooves. Profiles from Lines 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 each need corresponding sizes of fasteners. The profiles in Line X feature a Line 8 system groove but have a particularly flat surface with minimum curve radii that make them ideal for building sealed constructions.

To obtain a specific working stroke H, the total length L of a KLE can be derived from the following diagram:
L = 2 x B + 2 x S + LG + H
In the compact KLE linear units, the rollers run inside the profile. Apart from the slide, no moving parts can be touched because the timing belt in the guide groove covers the moving elements. This increases occupational safety and reduces soiling of guides and rollers.

KLE linear units are supplied ready for installation with a stroke length of up to 5750 mm. They are available in lines 6 and 8 with corresponding grooves on the outside. With an overall width of just 60 mm including the slide, the KLE 6 linear unit is one of the narrowest linear units with roller guides.

The special aluminium support profile ensures high load-bearing capacity and low-vibration operation. Thanks to their smooth running and resilient drive elements, KLE linear units are particularly suitable for positioning tasks with high travel speeds.

The guide carriage runs on four rollers and two hardened guide shafts within the profile. A carriage plate KLE or compound slide plate KLE is used to connect applications. The timing belt tensioning device is integrated into the deflection.

The KLE 8 linear unit has been tested for cleanroom suitability up to ISO class 6 in accordance with ISO 14644-1.
Simplified method for determining the maximum permissible load for the Roller Guides of a KLE:
The maximum deflection fmax of the system is governed by the dimension of the profile cross-section, the free profile length and the force applied.
It should not exceed 1mm/m.
The KLE profile must be given appropriate support if the linearity of movement has to be very precise.
The moments of inertia of the profiles provide the basis for calculating the deflection:
The carriage plate of the KLE 8 80x80 has two drilled holes used to pin the carriage plate to the cover plate on the carriage. The carriage plate and cover plate need to be pinned so that they can accommodate the relevant forces and ensure they are reliably transmitted to the roller guide.
Two pinning holes are provided in the KLE 8 80x80 cover plate for this purpose.
It is advisable to use the dowel pins supplied with the carriage set in combination with the carriage plate.

If not using the original carriage plates, the pattern of holes must be copied from the drawings and transferred onto the custom carriage constructions.
